Through my first year in college, my mentor told me I should collect photographs from magazines, news papers, internet, take my own and study them. Use them as practice to show I am studying. To prove to the examiners I can. I got a D because I was stubborn and refused to learn. I payed the price and barely passed the course. I got the lowest grade in my class because I refused to learn. Now I’m doing it and i’m improving greatly. I can see a difference between my art now and three years ago. I’m almost 19 and I spent two years grieving my inability to step out my comfort zone. Now I don’t care if people know I do this to practice. Because that’s all it is. Practice. submitted by -7de2
My teacher taught the same thing. I do it too, but I never submit those pictures. It helps to teach your hand and mind to do it correctly.
